Store Manager

As part of our strategy for growth, we are currently seeking to recruit an Store Manager for our new premium store.

THE POSITION

As the Store Manager, you will use your passion for the brand as well as a commercial and strategic vision to lead the whole store in maximizing its full potential and profitability.
Within this role, you will be the ultimate Brand Ambassador, seen by others as a beacon of the brand bringing to life our core values. Through your strategic mindset, you will drive productivity and profitability by analyzing reports to identify deficiencies and opportunities. You will support the development of a loyal customer base by working with the team to leverage the CRM to support this growth.

As an expert in retail and leadership, you will manage a high-performing sales team driving employee engagement and retention. With successful recruitment, on-boarding and training you will create a luxury store environment ensuring all employees are effectively developed and coached to achieve overall success. Working alongside various stakeholders you will oversee any VIP events ensuring they are seamlessly executed.

As the Store Manager, you will lead by example, setting the tone for the store, and provide feedback to your team that will result in more efficient, productive, and profitable stores that exceed company expectations. It is your role to protect the Service environment by consistently making decisions that enhance the customer’s experience in the store and with the brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Acumen
➢ Develops store strategies to increase customer reach, expand store traffic, and optimize sales performance and profitability
➢ Ensures weekly KPI meeting and daily Team briefs are conducted so that the team are aware of priorities and targets
➢ Manages product including launches effectively and efficiently working in partnership with VM, Marketing, and Logistics to maximize sales potential
➢ Meets sales goals by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to the store team
➢ Completes store administration with due diligence and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures
➢ Reports on buying trends, customer needs, and requests through the Weekly Trading Report
➢ Monitors sales and KPI data proposing any commercial initiatives necessary to achieve the assigned budgets
➢ Proposes innovative ideas to increase market share
➢ Collaborates with our Marketing team to help facilitate instore events, connect with local communities, and deliver best-in-class experiences
➢Thinks omni by seamlessly connecting the website and socials to the store and vice versa, helping to drive sign-ups and followers
➢ Prioritises regular brand and product knowledge training for the team
➢ Takes a proactive approach to understanding the market beyond the store
➢ Manages payroll routines with due diligence, managing costs and ensuring accurate records are maintained
➢ Manages stock loss through the implementation of strict operational controls

Store Standards
➢ Maintains outstanding window, store, and visual merchandising standards in line with current brand guidelines
➢ Ensures the team is dressed for service during the trading day
➢ Ensures compliance with Store Operating Procedures
➢ Ensures all legal training is carried out in accordance with due diligence requirements
➢ Ensures the protection of our team and assets by complying with all Health & Safety Policies

Team Development
➢ Takes an active part in recruiting, training, development, and coaching the team
➢ Conducts performance appraisals to assess training needs and build career paths for the store team
➢ Deals with all issues that arise from the team or customers (complaints, grievances, etc)
➢ Manages team (identify team needs, train and motivate team, organize and plan schedules, manage unplanned absences, holidays, and free days, resolve conflicts, and work on teamwork)

Leadership
➢ Displays excellent leadership skills in supporting and guiding the team, through the constant practice of feedback and being an example in the store of professional behavior and high performance
➢ Takes full ownership and accountability for the store, whilst coordinating and supervising all store activities
➢ Influences others to gain support to achieve goals and complete projects
➢ Demonstrates effective time management skills
➢ Inspires team to meet and exceed performance standards
➢ Acts as an advocate for the team, able to motivate others to achieve results

Must be fluent in English and preferably Maltese plus one other language
