Store Supervisor - Samsonite

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking to recruit a Store Supervisor for our new Samsonite store in St. Julians.

THE POSITION

As a Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Management Team to maximize the store’s sales and service performance. Leading from the front, you will act as a role model to the team, utilizing your fashion knowledge to drive sales and deliver world-class service consistently.

Key Responsibilities


Business Acumen

  • Conduct weekly KPI meetings and daily Team Briefs in the absence of Management to ensure the team is informed about priorities and targets.
  • Assist in the seamless daily operation of the store by completing daily planners, setting individual targets, assigning lunch breaks, and ensuring optimal floor coverage.
  • Ensure team compliance with the company’s timekeeping and attendance policies.
  • Complete store administration diligently, adhering to company policies and procedures.

Store Standards

  • Run the sales floor when requested by the management team, ensuring smooth operations, clear communication, and maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Maintain exceptional window, store, and visual merchandising standards in line with current brand guidelines.
  • Ensure all team members are dressed appropriately throughout trading hours.
  • Uphold compliance with Store Operating Procedures.
  • Responsible for opening and closing the retail store, ensuring all procedures are followed and the store is secure.

Team Development

  • Provide support and encouragement to the sales team to ensure they meet daily, weekly, and monthly store targets.
  • Stay updated on the season’s current trends and brand guidelines to train the team effectively, maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Assist management in conducting coaching sessions to enhance the team’s luxury service skills.
  • Act as a senior leader among the Sales Team, supporting their development and achievement of business goals.
  • Support and develop Sales Assistants in acquiring in-depth product knowledge to meet customers’ fashion needs.
  • Assist management in training the team on till and cash handling procedures.

Service Excellence

  • Actively engage customers in a professional and friendly manner to contribute to turnover development.
    Lead by example in providing the highest level of customer service.

Requirements

  • Ability to coach and mentor junior staff members.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Technical proficiency with MS applications.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Fluent in English and preferably Maltese, plus one other language.
