Stock Controller

VF Group, Malta’s leader in the luxury fashion retail, outdoor media and uniformity business is seeking to recruit a Stock Controller to lead the marketing functions within the various divisions within the Group including Fashion Retail and Uniformity divisions.

Our Retail Division represents the major luxury fashion and luggage brands including Hugo Boss, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Zegna, Fendi, Moncler, Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney, Valentino, Tom Ford, Jimmy Choo and Samsonite. Whilst our BTI Uniforms Division provides uniforms and workwear to the majority of its Corporate clients and business establishments on the island.

THE POSITION

The Stock Controller shall be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Working closely with the logistics coordinator in the receiving of goods across a range of Luxury and Premium brands.
  • The creation and categorisation of stock information within our inventory system, along with the costing of stock once received at our warehouse, in preparation to have these sent to stores.
  • Communication with the warehouse team to ensure goods are properly checked against invoices, priced and labelled correctly.
  • Works in conjunction with the retail and warehouse teams to ensure that stock is sent to stores according to the needs of the business.
  • Support the retail team in case of any inventory discrepancies or transfer issues.
  • Communication with Finance to ensure Invoices & credit notes are processed efficiently.
  • Maintain relationships with retail vendors with regards to stock information, shipments, invoices and returns & credit notes in case of damages and customer complaints.
  • Communication with the Marketing team in terms of new incoming stock.
  • Occasionally overlooking and supporting with stocktakes.

The Requirements

The selected candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position ideally within the clothing retail sector, together with a relevant qualification related to business management or logistics.

Interested applicants must also have an eye for detail, strong analytical skills to produce, analyse and assess results to make recommendations for improvement to the relevant departments, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, a good knowledge of MS Office applications, namely MS Excel, experience in Stock Management systems and a valid driving license.
