Maintenance Personnel

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Personnel to join our Operations team full-time.

THE POSITION

The selected candidate will be responsible for maintenance-related tasks at VF Group premises, which include property management buildings, retail outlets, the head office, and the factory. The role involves swiftly identifying and solving problems to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of facilities, equipment, and systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintenance Schedule Implementation:
    Implement a comprehensive maintenance and preventive maintenance schedule.

  • Property Maintenance:
    Oversee the maintenance, repair, and minor renovation activities for various properties, including offices, manufacturing plants, retail stores, and media facilities.

  • Preventive Maintenance:
    Follow a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.

  • Utility Monitoring:
    Monitor and maintain utilities such as electricity, water, HVAC, and other infrastructure systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.

  • Energy Efficiency:
    Assist in implementing energy-saving initiatives and sustainability practices where applicable.

  • Troubleshooting:
    Identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues, utilizing problem-solving skills to devise effective solutions.

  • Corrective Actions:
    Make informed decisions and implement corrective actions to address problems and prevent their recurrence.

  • Cost Control:
    Assist in controlling maintenance costs and obtain quotations for any required works.

  • Health and Safety Compliance:
    Implement and follow health, safety, and environmental standards across all facilities, adhering to local regulations and best practices.

  • Safety Audits:
    Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments, taking corrective actions as needed.

Requirements

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar position.

  • Technical Qualification: A technical qualification or certification in Building Services, Electrical License, or Maintenance.

  • Skills: Experience in electrical, plumbing, plastering, painting, and troubleshooting.

  • Knowledge: Understanding of health and safety equipment and security systems requirements in commercial and office buildings.

  • License: A valid driver’s license.

  • Transportation: Must take care of own transportation to VF Group premises, including property management buildings, retail outlets, head office, and factory.

  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Availability: Availability to be on call and work on a flexible schedule, which may include evenings or weekends when required.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Work Approach: A mature and reliable approach to work.
