THE POSITION
The Embroidery & Printing Operator will play a crucial role in the production process at BTI Uniforms. Working closely with the Factory Manager and General Manager, this individual will ensure the smooth operation of embroidery and printing machinery, maintain quality control standards, and collaborate with the team to meet deadlines. The role also involves a strong focus on technical expertise and operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Setup & Operation:
- Prepare and set up embroidery and printing machines for production.
- Load designs, select materials, and make necessary adjustments for each job.
Design Execution:
- Interpret client specifications or design team instructions to ensure accurate reproduction of designs on garments.
- Oversee the entire process to ensure design alignment and precision.
Quality Control:
- Monitor the production process to ensure consistency, accuracy, and high-quality output.
- Conduct regular checks to identify any defects or inconsistencies in the final product.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance on embroidery and printing machines.
- Troubleshoot any issues during production and make timely adjustments to prevent downtime.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor supplies of threads, inks, and other materials, placing orders as needed to avoid disruptions.
- Ensure inventory levels are sufficient to meet production demands.
Collaboration:
- Work alongside designers, team members, and other production staff to maintain a smooth workflow.
- Coordinate with the team leader to meet production deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.
Safety & Compliance:
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Maintain awareness of safety regulations and operational procedures for the machines.
Record Keeping:
- Keep accurate records of production runs, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Report to the Factory Manager and General Manager regarding production progress.
Customer Communication:
- Address client inquiries related to their orders, ensuring clear communication about timelines, design, and production status.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in a similar role in embroidery or printing operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with embroidery and printing machinery, materials, and processes.
SKILLS
- Strong technical skills and ability to operate and maintain industrial machinery.
- Attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality output.
- Ability to interpret and execute design specifications accurately.
- Good time management skills to meet production deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
