THE POSITION
VF Group, Malta’s leader in luxury fashion retail, outdoor media, and uniformity business, is seeking to recruit an experienced Payroll & HR Officer on a full-time basis.
The position calls for a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills and a creative mindset who wishes to grow and develop their career within VF Group.
The Company
Our Retail Division represents the major luxury fashion and luggage brands including Hugo Boss, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Zegna, Fendi, Moncler, Givenchy, Valentino, Tom Ford, Jimmy Choo, and Samsonite.
Whilst our BTI Uniforms Division provides uniforms and workwear to most of its’ corporate clients and business establishments on the island.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Job title: PAYROLL & HR OFFICER
Reporting to: HR MANAGER
PAYROLL & BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION
- Manage the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Oversee employee benefits, including leave, insurance, and other entitlements.
- Maintain attendance records and ensure proper record-keeping.
HR ADMINISTRATION & REPORTING
- Maintain accurate HR databases and employee records.
- Prepare HR reports on workforce data, turnover, and other key metrics.
ONBOARDING
- Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure a seamless transition for new hires.
- Maintain an up-to-date record of employee documentation.
EMPLOYER BRANDING
- Develop and implement employer branding strategies to attract top talent.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create engaging employer branding content for social media and career pages.
- Represent VF Group at career fairs, networking events, and industry conferences.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS & ENGAGEMENT
- Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
- Organize employee engagement activities and initiatives to promote morale.
- Foster an inclusive and diverse workplace culture that aligns with company values.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably in retail or e-commerce.
- Knowledge of labor laws, payroll processing, and HR best practices.
- Experience in content creation (CapCut, Picsart, Canva).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite (Shireburn Indigo, SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
