Group HR Manager - VFGROUP

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking to recruit a Group Human Resources Manager to join our company’s HR team.

THE POSITION

Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in payroll management and employee relations?
VF Group, a leader in Fashion Retail, Manufacturing, and Media, is looking for a proactive individual to oversee HR functions and payroll processes across our organization.
In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping our HR strategies, enhancing employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

The Company

VFGROUP proudly curates a wide brand portfolio featuring global fashion icons in luxury fashion retail, an established outdoor media company, and a locally renowned uniformity business.
Our Retail Division distributes in the Maltese market Hugo Boss, Twinset, and Samsonite, as part of the premium and lifestyle segment, while representing the major fashion luxury brands such as Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Zegna, Fendi, Moncler, Stella McCartney, Valentino, Tom Ford, and Jimmy Choo.

The retail uniformity business operates through the brands BTI Uniforms and Eagle Knitwear, providing uniforms and workwear to many corporate clients and schools on the island.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to:   RETAIL DIRECTOR & CEO   

PAYROLL MANAGEMENT
Oversee payroll processes, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of salaries and benefits while collaborating with Finance to resolve discrepancies.

HR ADMINISTRATION
Maintain employee records, coordinate onboarding/offboarding, and update HR policies to align with legal requirements and best practices.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, mediate conflicts, and conduct performance reviews in partnership with department managers.

COMPLIANCE AND REPORTING
Ensure compliance with labor laws, generate HR and payroll reports, and stay updated on relevant legislative changes.

BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION
Manage employee benefits programs and facilitate communication to address employee queries.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Identify areas for HR process enhancement and maintain the Shireburn Indigo system for optimized payroll and HR functions.

TALENT ACQUISITION
Collaborate with recruitment agencies, streamline hiring processes, and coordinate candidate interviews.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION (DEI)
Promote DEI initiatives and foster an inclusive workplace culture.

HEALTH AND SAFETY
Update health and safety policies, organize training sessions, conduct risk assessments, and manage incident reporting.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT
Design initiatives to improve employee satisfaction, conduct surveys, and act on feedback.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Oversee programs aimed at building management capabilities and supporting succession planning.

CHANGE MANAGEMENT
Assist the organization during transitions by managing communication and training initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS

Location:
Malta

Required Knowledge:

  • Experience: 5+ years in HR administration and payroll management, preferably in a multi-entity environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and HR best practices; proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal abilities to engage with diverse stakeholders.

  • Organizational Skills: Strong time management capabilities to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

  • Confidentiality: Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
